A little personal history:
I was a navy brat and my family and I were stationed in Turkey, London, Illinois, and Washington State. After my father retired from the Navy, we moved to Butternut, Wisconsin, a very small town in the north of the state with a population of about 400. My senior year of high school we moved to Vero Beach where I graduated in 1981. I then moved back to Eau Claire, Wisconsin where I put myself through college by working 20 - 30 hrs/week and graduated in 1986.
After college, I joined the Army Reserve doing my basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and medic training at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. I served until 1992 and received an honorable discharge.
I moved back to Vero Beach in 1987 and have lived in the county ever since.
I enjoy our way of life here in Vero Beach and have made sure to stay active in the community. I currently serve as President of my Homeowners Association and my Office Condo Associaiton. I was the past chairman of Indian River Couny's Beach and Shores Preservation Advisory Committee (2004 - 2019). I was on the board of the Indian River Federal Credit Union (2004 - 2012) and was two time past president and member of the board of the Ocean Side Business Association (1999 - 2006).
Vero Beach is an oasis on our Treasure Coast and I was blessed enough to find it over 30 years ago and plan to do my part to keep it that way.
About our clearing firm: Raymond James
Raymond James is one of the largest independent financial services firms in the United States. Since its beginning in 1962, it has always been a different kind of company – embracing long-term planning and methodical decision-making while staying uncompromisingly client focused. When other firms were simply buying and selling stocks or mutual funds, Raymond James focused on financial planning to help individuals reach their goals. It was the first firm to pioneer that concept – and today it supports its advisors with access to a full range of comprehensive resources, helping them to do the same.
- More than 7,500 financial advisors
- 3 million client accounts
- 3,000 locations (United States, Canada and abroad)
- $750 billion in client assets
- Equity research covering nearly 1,300 companies
Raymond James Financial was named the best full-service broker in the 2011 SmartMoneyannual broker survey for the third time in four years – ranking above Edward Jones, Wells Fargo, UBS, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
